This is Shamu, the killer whale, at San Diego's Sea World. I went there this summer with my Mom and Dad. We had a really fun time.
I learned a lot about marine life. Someday I would like to maybe be a trainer of animals like the people at Sea World.
The Orca or killer whale is a member of the dolphin family. They can grow to be 23 feet long. Despite of their name, the Killer whale has never hurt a person in the wild. They live in pods which usually stay together for life. They eat fish such as salmon, cod and squid. They live in cooler waters with the largest population in Antarctica.
