Arctic Willow

What a face indeed. Let me introduce you to Arctic Willow, a nine year old Canadian Sport Horse gelding sired by Tamarack II, and out of a thoroughbred mare named Arctic Poppy. He is affectionately known as Windigo to all his admirers, and his fans I bought Windigo in May of 1997.

Two weeks after Windigo "officially" became mine, we entered our first Regular level show together and came away Junior Basic Champion, Junior High Point Champion, and Reserve Freestyle High Point Champion. What a weekend :)

We then went on to be Reserve Champions at the prestigious Ottawa Area Dressage Festival

After a near death colic attack, Windigo and I went on to compete at the Provincial Championships, we finished 7th

Yup, that's what the headlines read in all the local newspapers..... I became famous at school....... .... What a year.. partnered less than 6 months together, we ended up ranked 3rd in Canada

Windigo was sold in April 1998, and is currently living in the life of luxury in Long Island, New York....
