| Air Mike, the 6 year old Flying Pigeon gelding recently claimed by Hot-to-Trot
stables, was fatally injured while training at Turfway park on
12/06/97 and was put down on the same day. During routine training, Air Mike
apparently broke his ankle in several places. Assistant trainer Pete Fugate handled the situation to the best of his ability, but the infection was too much
