This page is dedicated to 8 man football defense. The defenses explained on this site are basic. I feel that these are the simplest and most effective defenses. The philosophy of these defenses is to aim for simplicity in teaching which in turn makes it easy to learn. These systems make it easy for the defensive players to adjust to multiple offensive fronts without the need to create special defensive packages. These defenses handle everything. The fact is that defense is excecuted best when the players are masters of one trade instead of "jack" of all trades.
