As a junior in 1990, Thomas played in all 13 games as a backup for the Vols and finished with 17 tackles, one pass defensed and an INT he returned 51-yards against UTEP, the longest INT return of the season.
Third team All-American and All-Conference selection in football as a senior at Miami Beach High School in Florida ... Lettered in track and basketball.
