It's been about a year and a half since I last updated, but The Hangar is back and better than ever!!
April 13- After missing over a month with a broken hand, star goaltender Curtis Joseph returned to the Leafs lineup last night in Pittsburgh, and looked sharp, stopping 27 of 29 Penguin shots in a 5-2 victory. "Getting the lead early relieves a lot of pressure," Joseph said. "I'm always happy with a lead and I was able to be more comfortable. I was impressed with the way the team played today. We passed well, we came out together and moved the puck and played a good game." Darcy Tucker continued his breakout season for the Leafs, as he now has 13 points in his last 8 games, and has set career highs in goals, and assists (and obviously, points). Joseph is not expected to start again tonight, as the Leafs close out their season in what might be like an eighth game of a potential playoff series as they venture to Ottawa to take on the Sens. The Leafs have clinched home ice in the first round (4th overall in the conference) and a Leaf win combined with a Bruin loss or tie (they take on the Pens at home), means a first round matchup between the Leafs and Habs, and of course, the top seeding in the conference. If the Leafs do not finish first, they will play one of New Jersey, Ottawa and the Islanders. The playoffs start on Wednesday or Thursday next week... Back To Top
