Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well. I also hope you enjoy this new reformatted version of WEAR IT! It’s a lot easier typing on here than in facebook!.....I am deeply saddened to send you this newsletter and advise that summer is almost over. One last weekend of 80 degree temps is coming up. With that in mind we are planning a lake trip this weekend! There are also several stories, etc. to tell you about. I hope everyone has enjoyed this first full summer of the new cabin. It truly has been an investment that I and many others have enjoyed to the fullest!

Current Happenings, events, etc:

-First and foremost, this will be the last weekend my boat will be in the water. If you are free come on down to the lake! We will be out at Spayd’s Cove and Tules Creek partying it up all weekend. I also propose some 55 MPH skiing on the SS Sea Yea! A pot of Dr. J's world famous chili will be going. Dave lets try to eat this without someone spiking your bowl with PMS pills!

-The Sin Din has recently been updated with a 1992 Magnavox 27 inch TV. This sounds kind of shitty but when its college football season and you are playing flip cup and beer pong, it comes in great use hooked up to the satellite! Another major part came 3 weeks ago with the new addition of a full size ping pong table. Thanks for the donation Steve! Andy, Gravy D, and I will take anyone on in 30 cup, 3 man beer pong rally!

-On Labor Day weekend Larry and I finally finished the exterior painting of the cabin. The new color looks great. Other projects we plan on tackling this winter are sealing and finishing the Sin Din, adding an addition to the deck, and installing new windows.

-Good news from the Corp of Engineers. The lake drawdown will not start till Oct 20. So we can at least leave the poontoon in till then. Finally thoses clowns have done something right!

-Major news with Hurricane Ike hitting Kentuckiana. All 4 places at the lake were spared major damage. We lost some major trees though. Including “Uncle Kenny’s bonfire tree that could tell stories” We won’t be short on firewood for this winter at all. Pictures are below of the damage.

-Congrats to the Crazy Assholes on Lake Haven Loop softball team for winning the St. Luke’s League Championship! Pabst Blue Ribbon Bombers start their title defense the last week of April 2009.

-Dr. Kopple, Gravy D, and Andy have purchased a new toy for the lake from J. Spayd. Come on down this weekend and try the new jet ski! Bat Shit Crazy has already tested it out for us and it runs great!

-And finally! We have set a date for the 80’s party we have planned for so long. Since it will be held in late October we will mix Halloween with it. The party will be held in the Sin Din North at Dr. Kopple’s in The Ville. Dress is MANDATORY! and no you can't borrow a mask from Uncle Kenny! This will be an all day event with a cornhole tournament, grilling out, hot tub, etc. Make your plans now! Date is set for Saturday, October 18^th.

Up and Coming:

Sept. 26-28 – Last summer Lake trip 85 and sunny! UK and UL both on TV!

Oct. 1-5 – Destin Seafood Festival in Destin, FL

Oct. 18 – 80’s and Halloween Party in The Ville

Oct. 31 – Halloween – Who knows?

Oct. ?? – Keeneland Trip

Nov. 1 – WKU tailgating!

Nov ?? – Possible Gatlinburg Trip!
