Again we travelled down the road with too many men missing. Missing coach Adrian, centers Stef and Joost, guard/forward Andrew and power forward Rob we again had very little length. Gert-Jan (veteran from the 2nd team) came along to help coaching and compensate inside (he's a power forward). Again we had the same problem that we are facing lately, we have too little scoring players. Only Olaf and Dave are players who score every game a lot of points. The rest has its moments, but none of them are a constant factor. Anyway the first half started pretty good and soon we took the lead. Only we never created a real gap. It was not easy to make a run, because the scoring board didn't function properly and the whole thing just quitted about 15 times. Approximately 9:30 minutes before the end of the game the refs decided to change to a hand-clock. By that time Jumpers made a run and was leading with 10 points. We fought back into the game, even brought Stef in for the last few minutes, but an intentional foul of Stef locked the game. They had 2 free throws and ball possession. They took a 4 point lead and we had just a few seconds left. A three with a foul didn't work. Game over. Life's a bitch when you're short of players. Hopefully next saturday against Binnenland we'll have more players. It's about time we win some games...
