JC have lost their last game of the season against Rotterdam. Rotterdam took revanche for there previous loss in Bergen op Zoom, although it didn't come easy. They came complete, motivated and warned to 'the Garden'. We on the other hand were still coping with a lot of injuries. So we put up a zone defence. Rotterdam had a lot of trouble finding a way to the basket. Both teams played tough defence, so at half time the score was 24-29.
In the second half Rotterdam came out strong. They immediatly took an over-10 point lead. This killed us. We were never able to close that gap again. Nevertheless at the end the excitement was back, cause we managed to come back to 60-66 with 33 seconds remaining on the clock. But Rotterdam got 2 free throws and made them both, 60-68. A quick 3 was needed , but was missed, so we had to make a foul. Again both free throws went in, 60-70. Game over. Some more free throws set the final score to 60-72. So we lost the game, but couldn't really feel bad about it. With so many injuries, we managed to give the upcoming champion a hard time. It was also a shame that Olaf couldn't bring his normal (scoring) game. That left us with very little scoring players. But as it looks now, the injuries are almost over, so the next few important games we'll have more back-up.
