From: Julia Burke Foundation [mailto:Marilyn_Burke@juliaburkefoundation.com] Subject: Foundation-Sponsored TV Spots and ADA Award Presnentation Videos Hi! In recognition of April as Organ Donation Month, The Julia Burke Foundation and the Julia Burke Memorial Fund established at the California Transplant Donor Network (CTDN) have sponsored a TV ad campaign promoting organ donation to run in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The ad features Chris Klug, a 2002 Olympic snowboarding medal winner. (You can check out his website at www.chrisklug.com.) Chris won a bronze medal for snowboarding in the parallel giant slalom race. He was also a member of the 1998 Snowboarding Giant Slalom Team in Nagano, Japan. Chris received a liver transplant in July 2000, and returned to the World Cup Snowboarding Circuit four months after his surgery. The TV ad highlighting Chris includes a nice dedication to Julia with her photo. The ad campaign begins April 15 and will continue through Sunday, April 28. The list below shows dates and times of programs that will include the ad during the next two weeks. We will include this schedule also on the Foundation website at www.JuliaBurkeFoundation.com and will add schedule updates there as we get them. Additionally, our website now has several video clips from the presentation of the first annual American Debate Association Julia Burke Award, to Elizabeth Wiley of Smith College. Included is the keynote speech by Alex Berger, Dartmouth '02, Copeland Award winner and NDT Top Speaker this year.
