This list consists of message boards which seemed to receive a considerable volume of posts from fans.  The fantastic and thorough sites, Message Board Central and the College Sports Switchboard, have a considerably longer list of boards, however, in some cases these sites are SO thorough it's difficult to find the busiest board(s).  The boards below represent the most active message boards of the teams in the MAJOR NCAA football conferences.  Schools with multiple active boards have trailing numbers.  These numbers, by no means, represent 'rankings'.  The numbers are insignificant and are just there to distinguish them from one another.  They could just as easily be X's and O's, but numbers looked better.  The most active board, however, can be reached by clicking the school's name.  In the case of The Big 12 (GoBig12), Big 10 (Big 10.org), and ACC (ACCBoards), these sites have boards for every one of their conference's teams.  They are fairly active, especially in cases where no other active board exists for the schools.  In these three conferences, if there are other active boards, in addition to the aforementioned GoBig12, Big 10.org, and ACCBoards, they are listed by clicking on the school names and subsequent numbers.  In almost ALL cases, these boards are FAR more active than the Big 10.org and ACCBoards.  In the cases of lower volume boards,  the number of posts is about the same.  ALL GoBig12 boards, however, get decent traffic.  OK... enough rambling.
