The East Highlands Ranch Dolphin Swim Team is an age-group swim team located in the city of Highland in San Bernardino County of Southern California. The team currently consist of 90 - 100 swimmers from novice to advances levels. This team practices and competes on a year round basis. We are presently a member of the San Gorgonio Swim League and affiliated with United States Swimming. Our swim training emphasizes recognition of continuous improvement, development of competitive team skills, and discipline in an atmosphere that encourages pride and team spirit. All of which is done in order to build self-confidence and higher personal esteem.
Mission:
Our mission is to build a base of swim talent that can compete at the high school level and to provide the opportunities for our swimmers to foster lifelong involvement in swimming through positive experiences and by building friendships with team members and their families.Charter:
The charter of the East Highlands Ranch Dolphin Swim Team is to have an organization open to East Highlands Ranch residents, that will provide a wholesome environment to foster personal growth, and enhance the self-esteem of each participant while maximizing the opportunity for individual achievement of every swimmer.
Additionally, our charter is to accommodate all levels of swimming skills and interests from beginners to advance, and to offer a continuity of program and strong coaching in order to provide the training and motivation necessary to enhance individual achievement at all skill levels.
The finally element of the charter for the EHR Dolphin Swim Team is to maintain effective communications with all member within the structure of the team and to maintain a positive image and strong relationships throughout our community.
Goals and Objectives:
The primary goal of EHR is to provide Ranch youth with the opportunity for developing a positive self-image through appropriate training and competition at all age and ability levels. Employment of qualified coaches contribute to reaching the following objectives for the EHR Swim Team:
1. Provide quality swim talent to our local school teams to maintain a competitive base.
2. Provide opportunities for positive social and emotional development of the individual and encourage peer and family involvement within the framework of our group dynamic.
3. Create a positive training environment that promotes high self-esteem, and demonstrates the values of hard work, perseverance, self-discipline, and dedication.
4. Provide opportunities to learn good health habits that last a lifetime.
5. Contribute to the goals of United States Swimming, Inc. (USS) in its efforts to build a broader base of experienced athletes and to develop those who aspire to competes at Olympic levels.
