Bure is one of the few NHL players who is capable of creating offense
almost single-handedly. He is an agile enough skater andtalented enough
stickhandler that he can dash trough an opponent's entire team at any given time.
Though not very tall by NHL standards, he has a stocky build and is hard to knock off the puck.
He broke into the Soviet National League at the tender
age of 16 and was named rookie of the year the follwing season.
After four season there, he arrived on the NHL scene and
won the calder trophy as rookie of the year in 1991-1992.
Bure holds the Vancouver club record for most goals and points
in a season and is aveteran of three NHL All-stars games.
