Birth of A Star

The Birth of a Star

by Kenneth E. Martin

In my dreams, I see a vision of you and I lying nude on a sandy white beach, as a cool wind blows and gently caresses our skin.

Our bodies, minds, and thoughts are intertwined so that there are no longer two individuals but one overpowering symbol of trust, unity, and love.

We bask in the warmth of our passion's fire and fury, slowly sliding into the contentment that we shall always know.

While the afterglow shows upon our faces, small beads of sweat trickle down, slowly forming gentle pools along the length of our bodies.

As we stare into the crystal Southern night, I reach for your hand only to find yours searching for mine, then I know that all is right.

A perfect union, the bonding of souls, and as God looks down he sees the purity and wisdom of his creation.

He smiles, and in that split-second we witness the birth of a star, a star shining alone in the depths of the night sky, a symbol for all man to see of what love can be.

So shines the twinkle in your eyes and as we slowly drift off to sleep, the heavens open to display all it's glory, with a burst of stars for all to see.

Now every time our eyes gaze upwards to see the beauty of the night and we see one star outshining all the rest, we will hold hands and know that all is right.
