The Low Down on Jim-as i see it! |
Jim Morrison, born December 8, 1943 was known as one of the best writers of our time. He spent his life living every moment to its fullest and suddenly departed us at the age of 27(although rumors circulate that he is still alive). He is a very talented man and his work is just so interesting its as if he were actin it out right there. That is my personal opinion. |

Here are a few of my favorite poems from this. |
The Ghost Song |
Awake. Shake dreams from your hair My pretty child, my sweet one Choose the day and choose the sign of your day The day's divinity First thing you see A vast radiant beach in a cool jeweled moon Couples naked race down by its quiet side And we laugh like soft, mad children Smug in the wooly cotton brains of infancy. The music and voices are all around us. Choose, they croon, the ancient ones The time has come again. Choose now, they croon Beneath the moon Beside an ancient lake. Enter again the sweet forest, Enter the hot dream, Come with us Everything is broken up in dances. |
Indians scattered on dawns highway bleeding Ghosts crowd the young childs fragile eggshell mind. Indian, Indian what did you die for? Indian says, nothing at all |
