Ever since I was a kid, I was in love with professional wrestling. I watched it every weekend dreaming that one day I'd be one of them. Even when wrestling wasn't the "cool" thing among kids my age, I hid my love of the sport. I was teased through grade school because I had WWF magazines in my room. I prayed that the "cool kids" I hung around with wouldn't find out that I still had wrestling actions figures, or that I wrestled in back yards every weekend.
I always walked around with a chip on my shoulder. I got overly angered at everything that went wrong. Due to my smart ass mouth, I was in a new fight every week. Some I won, some I lost. I remember knocking some guy out when I DDT'd him on the cement. I laugh about the time I put some kid in a Boston Crab and won the fight. I always imagined that I was in a wrestling match when I was in a street fight. I also recall pile driving a kid into the ice during the aftermath of a snowball fight. I was a crazy dude back then.
These aren't my only memories. I remember going into high school proudly as one of the few elite freshman who had already lost his virginity. I remember having a new girl every week, averaging three girlfriends a week. I recall dumping a girl because she made a big fuss when I wanted to watch wrestling instead of having sex with her at the time. My fondest memories are when I met two people who would change my life forever. It was at the ECW arena when it was still called Eastern Championship Wrestling. I was talking to two smart ass kids, who were my age, and claimed to be pro wrestlers. These dudes were non other than Billy Reil and Trent Acid. We then began to train together at The Hawkin's Gym in Philly. Through time of training, I received lots of help from The Reckless Youth , Don Montoya, Kid America, New Jack, Steve Corino, and even "Norm The Barfly." Billy and Trent were always fighting, and one time Trent lost his spot on a show because of a fight. So I took his place when I wrestled my first Pro Match at the age of 16, I wore my football outfit from my high school days and wrestled as "All Star" Nick Berk, and I teamed with the Reckless Youth. We faced Billy Reil and Thomas Rodman. From day one in the sport, I found out why Billy and Trent always fought, it was due to jealousy. They would get mad if one had a good match, or the other got a huge push, or if one got with a girl, and the other one got with the same one. And soon, I was in the fights too. I fought with them, and against them. Recently we all were together as D-SEX, but jealousy took over to show that there are still many miles to go on that rocky road. During that time, we formed a clique with Johnny Kashmer and Philip J, to be know collectively as TM.
Since my first match three years ago, I dropped the football gimmick and developed into "Mr. Sexuality" Nick Berk. I am the true leader of D-SEX, and recently joined forces with The Big Unit. In March of '99, I introduced the world to my new valet, Gabriella Leigh, who has been turning heads (and making them rise) all over the independent scene. She is helping me turn women in pro wrestling from assy to classy.
To all my fans out there…
