All members registering their horses or their barns are
accepting these rules and guidelines.

Chapter One
Code of Conduct and Sportsmanship
1. There is a zero tolerance policy on any horse abuse or neglect. The
horse needs to be living comfortably with enough food and water, as well
as bedding and movement.
This also includes overshowing. A Horse Owner is advised to enter his
horse in not more than 5 to 6 classes a show
Members may and will be faced with penalties and/or exemption from AHA
2.The following all are not allowed:
+ Attempting to bribe/threaten Judges of shows
+ Altering show results
+ Favouring horses or owners
+Ginger
+
3. The Judges decision/s are what count. However, exceptions are if
problems or unfairness is found after show results have been announced.
CHAPTER TWO
Showing/Eventing
It is advisable for any Horse Owner to enter all AHA sponsored shows,
to receive special awards!
Half Arabian/Fullblood Arabian Specifications
1. Any Half- or Full-Arabian is allowed to enter AHA Shows in their
respective classes. Owners must take not of limitations!
2. Since the Half-Arabian Circuit is very small in GH, Half-Arabians
have separate Halter and Futurity/Liberty Classes, however compete in
the same Performance circuits as Full-Arabians.
Holding an AHA Approved Show
3. No show can use AHA Points or regulations unless it is approved
by the AHA.
4. To be approved, the show must be considered by the AHA board and AHA
points will be determined for the show.

AHA Shows
FOR ANY AHA POINTING SYSTEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL SHOWS SEE CHAPTER THREE
Regionals
There are three qualifying shows held for the Nationals, Regional I,
Regional II and Regional III.
6. All horses that place TOP 5 or higher in one of the regional shows
are admitted to showing in the Nationals Show in October.
7. Horses that do not qualify are not admitted.
8. Horses do not have to be entered in all three Regional shows, however
if the horse does not qualify the first time round, it can be reentered
in the second and third regional show with the possibility of being
admitted to the nationals.
9. It is advisable that if a horse places under TOP 5 in the first
regional show, that it participates in either both or at least one other
regional show to keep up the competition.
10. The Regionals are held at:
Regional I - Wa'meeda Arabians, Mareike
Regional II - ?
Regional III -?
11. The different regions (i.e different stables) must additionally hold
at least two normal shows throughout one year that will be
sponsored by the AHA.
12. Different Regions must inform AHA of the Show names.
13. Shows held annually by the regions must be the same every year.
14. All Shows must be judged by two judges minimum
15. Regional shows can specify their own point systems.
Nationals
The most prestige and important Arabian Horse Show held by the AHA
in the year.
16. Horses need to have qualified through one of the three Regional
Shows
17. Horses entered must be owned or housed at one of the AHA
Approved Stables/Breeders.
18. Show is judged by three judges
Scottsdale
No qualification needed for this show. It is open to Half and Full
Arabians.
18. Scottsdale does NOT require any qualification shows
19. The show is held annually.
20. Show is judged by two judges
European Nationals
European Nationals are like Scottsdale, a show with no qualification
needed and open to half and full arabians.
21. Judged by one judge
22. Held annually
Egyptian Event
No qualification needed and open to Half and Full Arabians.
22. Judged by two judges
23. Held annually
World Championships
Similar to Nationals, second important show of the year.
24. Only open to PURE Stallion's and Colt's
25. Halter-Only
26. No Qualification needed
27. Judged by two judges
European Championships
Similar to World Championships, but held in Europe.
28. Only open to PURE Stallion's and Colt's
29. Halter-Only
30. No Qualification needed
31. Judged by two judges
Any other Arabian Horse Show
32. Horse Shows will be posted with three weeks notice for entering.
33. Other shows may crop up during year.
Class "A" Shows
34. Shows held by members of AHA throughout year
35. Must be approved by AHA
36. Specific AHA Point system may not be altered.
CHAPTER THREE
Awards
37. Any Half or Full Arabian Stallion that is gelded receives $750 and
20 AHA Points
38. Any Half-Arabian receives a bonus 30 AHA Points
Legion of Honours
Points are awarded in every AHA sponsored Show and are separate to
regular GH Points.
There are different levels when a certain number of points are achieved.
150 - 300 AHA Points-Legion Of

301 - 450 AHA Points-Legion Of
Honour-++
451 - 680 AHA Points-Legion Of Supreme
Honour-+/
681- 900 AHA Points-Legion Of Supreme
Merit-+//
901- 1500 AHA Points-Legion Of

regulated by the AHA.
