piranha |
(pî-rän¹ye) or caribe, predatory
freshwater fish of the family Characidae, found in east and central South America,
especially in the Amazon. The piranha (genus Serrasalmus) has powerful jaws and
razor-sharp triangular teeth and is capable of killing cattle and human beings. The
largest piranha is c.2 ft (60 cm) long. |

Piranhas formed on March 2, 1996, have accomplished the following:

The team is made up of student athletes from 10 high schools and one middle school.
