The school rejoined in 1994, but did not field a boys' cross country team until the 1997 season. The school left the CISAA again after the 1998/1999 school year because it dropped to 2A. (The NCISAA split into 3 classifications: 1A, 2A, 3A. Northside is a 2A sized school, and the remaining CISAA schools are considered 3A sized schools).
