Sceptre Ireland

Here is a series of pictures from a trip to Ireland March 2003 with Neal. We hooked up with Brian in Dublin. He flew in from Scotland. "If it's not Scottish, it's CRAP." The trip started in Dublin, west to Galway, south to Kilarney, south/east through Cork to Kilkenny, northeast back to Dublin for St. Pat's Day.

Here is a cross from the monastic site at Clonmacnoise.

These are the cliffs of Moher on the western coast.

This is a pic of Neal and I enroute from Galway to Kilarney.

This is the famous Blarney Castle.

And this would be me kissing the Blarney stone.

Here is an inside photo of the Waterford crystal factory where the crystal pieces are blown from the furnace.

This is the Kilkenny Castle

Here are a few shots of the ancient burial site at newgrange. It is just North of Dublin. It made me think of that song by ZZ top..."rumor spreading 'round, that Irish town, about the mound outside Newgrange..."

The entrance to the mound.

Brian, Neal, and I at the entrance. This photo was taken by some tourist. Those darn tourists, Ireland is full of them.
