This page is dedicated to a great man and a great martial artist who has dedicated his life to the practice, perfection and teaching of the Chinese Kung Fu style known as Wing Chun. This page is made for him in tribute to his unwavering loyalty and hard work in spreading Wing Chun and for his love of the art.

Very little has been written about Stanley Au or Au Chi Keung as he is called in Chinese. For those of you who do not know who he is, I would like to give a brief background about him.

Stanley Au was originally a native of Hong Kong. During the time he was in Hong Kong, he, along with some of his friends, heard that there was a great martial artist that came down from Red China. Eager to learn martial arts, he anxiously went down to meet him. This great martial artist was none other than Wing Chun Grandmaster Yip Man.

Although there is very little mention of it, Stanley Au is one of the original six practitioners that were under Yip Man's wing when Yip Man first taught his art. Mr. Au studied Wing Chun in Hong Kong along with fellow classmates Chu Shong Tin(Tsui Sheung Tin), Wong Shun Leung, Yip Bo Ching, Leung Sheung, Leung Ting, Lok Yiu and many other famous martial artists that stemmed from the Yip Man lineage.

Many years passed and Stanley Au left Hong Kong in search of better opportunities. In his search, Mr. Au migrated to the United States and Canada. He moved around quite frequently during these years before he finally settled down.

Stanley Au has now made the beautiful islands of Hawaii his home. During his transition here to Hawaii, a friend asked him that since he was good in Wing Chun kung fu, why not teach it. So that is what started Sifu Au in his teaching of Wing Chun Kung Fu here in Hawaii. He was the first person to teach Wing Chun in Hawaii and has done so for well over 30 years. In that period of time, the number of students that have followed him have blossomed.
