Welcome to the Sunrise Aquatics Water Polo Club homepage. This page is intended to provide information and resources for the sport of water polo.
Sunrise Aquatics Water Polo headquartered in San Diego, California, under the guidance of Coaches James Torres and Frank Stivers, a continually growing club, has expanded its program to include an entry level age group program to teach and train younger athletes in the sport of water polo.
In the summer of 2000 we were proud to introduce Wetball into our program. This is our entry level waterpolo program designed for children 6 to 11 years old. Wetball is a simplified version of waterpolo that is played in the shallows of the pool. This program is specifically geared towards those children with little or no swimming experience. And it's a lot of fun to watch as each athlete develops and grows.
Sunrise Aquatics is now offering for Spring 2001a Grommet level for entry level players. Practices will be conducted at El Cajon Valley High School on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Games and tournaments will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday. Please review the schedule for the time and place of the games scheduled.
If you are interested in learning and playing the sport of water polo, or would like to have a team compete in one of our leagues or tournaments, you may contact Sunrise Aquatics at Aquamaniac or James Torres
