Doug joined the BC Lions in the 1990 and has become the CFL's Premier Quarterback ever since. He won the Heisman Trophy as the top player
in U.S. college football. He will always be remembered for the last-second "Hail Mary" pass late in his senior college at Boston College
that lifted them to an upset win over the Miami Hurricanes. He signed with the USFL New Jersey Generals in 1985. He also played with the
Chicago Bears and New England Patriots in four NFL seasons before coming to Canada to play in ther CFL. Doug went from BC to the Calgary Stampeders
before moving on to the Toronto Argonaughts. He led the Argo's to the coveted Grey Cup in 1996.
