    He has been in the major leagues for about four years and has already been part of a World Champion Team, The New York Yankees.

    Derek Jeter also during the 1996 season won the "Rookie of the Year" award in the American League. He was very proud of achieving this honor.
    He has been feautered in many magazines all over the country, as a prodigy in the game of baseball. His picture is all over in articles and he was even considered as one of the 50 most beautiful people in People's magazine. Derek in also very popular among his fans. From kids to teenagers to adults are among the millions of people who consider him a role model and even a friend.
