I have been a fan of E.L.O. since "A New World Record" came out. It was a fantastic recording. This web page is my tribute to one of the greatest, if not the greatest band ever.

E.L.O. myth...

The strange backwards message at the beginning of "Fire On High" is nothing to fear. It simply says, "The song is reversible but time is not, turn back, turn back, turn back, turn back". I believe that E.L.O. did this as a joke on the fools that claimed there were many evil, satanic hidden messages in rock music such as Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven". E.L.O. continued on this theme with the album "Secret Messages". This album came out about the same time as the Styx album "Mr. Roboto" which also had this theme. Styx, along with Led Zeppelin, E.L.O. and other groups were rumored to use backwards or hidden messages in their songs by certain religious leaders and the media.
