Inviting USAB Region 1 badminton players to join top players from the U.S. northeast at the Cook College Recreation Center for A, B, C, Junior and Senior play in singles, doubles and mixed doubles competition. This will be a jam-packed day of exciting badminton using the new scoring system of best 3 out of 5 games to 7 points. Players are guaranteed at least two matches per event. This flyer can be found on the web at: www.geocities.com/mida_shuttlecocks Junior and A, B, C singles play starts promptly at 9 a.m. Senior singles will start approximately 10:30 a.m. Doubles play will start approximately noon. Mixed doubles will start approximately 2 p.m. Entry fees are $15.00 per person/per event (juniors pay $10.00 per person/per event). Entries by e-mail and telephone are acceptable. Discount entries fees of $12 per person/per event for all mail-in entries postmarked by Nov. 14. Junior players must be in the under 19 age category or under 15 age category as of the tournament date. This is a USA Badminton sanctioned tournament. All players must be USA Badminton members or be willing to join the USA Badminton organization at registration. Directions: New Brunswick is located 30 miles southwest of Newark and 60 miles northeast of Philadelphia. From the NJ Turnpike, use exit #9 (Route 18) go north 1/2 mile to US Hwy. 1. Go south on U.S. Hwy. 1 for 1 mile and exit at College Farm Road, turn right and go 1/2 mile to the 4-way stop at Dudley Road and turn right. Travel 400 yards and turn right at Biel Road. The Cook/Douglas Recreation Center is the first building on the right. Free visitor parking is allowed in lot 99C. |
