本週專題 – Jered Weaver 與 Pedro Martinez 之比較 |
Doug Padilla, of the Los Angeles Daily News, reports Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Jered Weaver was tagged with the first Major League loss of his career Thursday, Aug. 24, as the Boston Red Sox beat the Angels 2-1. Weaver, who allowed only one run in six innings, was trying to tie former Montreal Expos SP Kirk Rueter and former New York Giants SP Hooks Wiltse as the only pitchers in Major League history to start their Major League career with at least a 10-0 record. He was also trying to become the first American League pitcher to reach double digits in wins to open a career but he will have to settle for tying former New York Yankees great Whitey Ford with a 9-0 record to start their respective careers.
