Welcome to Djarragun Sports Academy
Djarragun Sports Academy is a division of Djarragun College Djarragun College and is situated on the Bruce Highway just north of Gordonvale. Set up expressly for the delivery of educational programmes to indigenous Australians, the College promotes excellence in education with a strong emphasis on values education which are underpinned by Christian values.
Currently our students come from the Torres Strait Islands, Cape York communities, Cairns, Yarrabah, Gordonvale, Aloomba and surrounding suburbs.The College is an independent school controlled by a Board of Directors. The Anglican dioceses of Brisbane and of North Queensland are members of the company limited by guarantee. The College has its own constitution which sets the parameters from which the College operates.
Sporting Program - includes AFL, Rugby League/Union, Basketball, Volleyball. Dare To Achieve(DTA) is an adventure based activities program conducted at a near by farm located on the banks of the beautiful Mulgrave river. Facilities include a rope course, walking tracks, deep swimming holes, camping, canoeing and dormitories with river views. Boarding information.
