1-June-2000 Hollie McCallum finishes the season as the number one ranked under 15 female in New Zealand over 200 metres. This goes with her rankings of 2nd and 4th in the long jump and 100m respectively.
Easter-2000 Three Taupo athletes - Chris Reid, Jed Milden and Hollie McCallum are members of the Waikato Grade 12/13 team to the New Zealand Interprovincial Championships. They perform admirably and help Waikato to third place overall.
1/2-April-2000 Two members of Athletics Taupo travel to Wanganui for the North Island Secondary Schools Championships. Hollie McCallum earned a 2nd and two 4th placings in the Junior Girls section and Chris Reid a 5th placing in the Junior Boys 800m. Click here for all results.

26-February-2000 Athletics Taupo dominate the South Zone area championships with over 20 athletes qualifying for the Waikato Championships.
7/8/9-January-2000 Hollie and Sarah McCallum compete at the Colgate New Zealand Games in Wellington. Sarah gained 1st placings in the Grade 7 60m, 100m and long jump and a 2nd in the 200m. Hollie achieved 2nd places in the Grade 12 100m and Long Jump and a 3rd in the 200m. Click here for full results.
October-1999 Athletics Taupo is formed providing the first Athletics club in Taupo for a number of years.
