| The UMass Lowell Jr. River Hawks (Formerly the Merrimack Valley Jr.
Cardinals) is an organization that is dedicated to the youth of the Merrimack
Valley region. Today's membership is almost 100 strong; made up of boys
and girls from the age of nine through high school who love the game of
ice hockey. Our organization focuses its efforts on the educational and
physical benefits of hockey in endeavoring to instill lifelong qualities
of diligence, sportsmanship, team play, and personal achievement in all
of our players. The Jr. River Hawks travel all over New England competing
in the prestigious Metropolitan Boston Hockey League, which has developed
many college and professional level athletes over the past 20 years. Our
team will visit Providence, RI, Springfield, MA and Hooksett, NH just to
name a few. During this season, our teams will be representing the region
in several tournaments in Canada. |
