ANYBODY that has to play the CHIEFS at ARROWHEAD in their season opener, will learn a lesson in futility. They have the WINNINGEST record against the betting line of ALL NFL teams in season HOME OPENERS throughout the years in the NFL........24-10 in ARROWHEAD!!!

THESE are the Fields of Dreams!

Since it was dedicated on August 12, 1972, Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium has been one of the jewels in the crown of NFL stadiums. It looks even better today than it did when it opened, and the sleek design means there isn't a bad seat in the house. As a waiting list for season tickets grows, fans pack Arrowhead Stadium to cheer a team that has reached the playoffs every year through the '90s. They wear red and gold, wave their banners and pound their tom-toms.

Arrowhead is the league's loudest outdoor stadium and one of the most exciting places to watch a professional football game." Arrowhead opened August 12th 1972 with the Chiefs hosting the St. Louis Cardinals. Construction began in 1968. George Halas called Arrowhead "the most revolutionary, futuristic, sports complex I have ever seen."

Today, the facility remains one of the finest sports stadiums in the world. Everything is still in top shape as the Truman Sports Complex celebrated its Silver Anniversary season in 1996. Other venues of a similar vintage have long since been termed obsolete, torn down and new stadiums built. Arrowhead has indeed, stood the test of time.

ARE YOU
READY FOR
SOME FOOTBALL?

You haven't lived unless you have experienced the thrill of victory in the greatest and loudest cheering outdoor sports complex in the country!!

I live, breathe, eat, and sleep, FOOTBALL and by the logo you can see who my favorite team is. Born and raised in KANSAS CITY and my favorite colors, naturally, are RED, WHITE and GOLD.

I've got MANY $$$ worth of CHIEFS paraphernalia including one of 5,000 CHIEFS HELMET whiskey decanters made when they won the Super Bowl. Of course, it's unopened and I've had it over 30 years. Everything is authentic, from wearing apparel to helmets and footballs!! I won't own anything that isn't original CHIEFS registered colors and logos.

I was at theLONGEST GAME IN FOOTBALL History on Christmas Day 1971 between the Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins. It was the last game played at Memorial Stadium. There were decorated Christmas trees in the middle of each intersection leading to the stadium and it was unseasonably warm.

The game lasted 6 1/4 quarters and the Chief's should have won it three different times. No thanks to Jan Stenerud missing three field goals!! The next morning it SNOWED!! Before cable TV, I would drive to the nearest place that showed the game televised and rent a motel to watch it, and then drive back home. I've seen many games in other stadiums, too, Yeah, you might call me a FAN!!

In Arrowhead for a NY Jets game with my son, David, it was 15 degrees at kickoff. When it got below ZERO in the 4th quarter, they flashed on the scoreboard, "WELCOME to the 11,250 REAL CHIEF'S FANS!!! Did I ever miss a game because of the weather? Ask me if I EVER missed a game, PERIOD!!

One time, it was raining so hard, it kept filling my beer back up before I could finish it. EVERYBODY was up under cover except my son, David, and me. Why not us?? You can only get so wet and both of us were on NATIONAL TV!!!!!

At Raymond James Stadium Aug. 25, 2000 for Chiefs-Tampa Bay Exhibition game. Chiefs Lost 37-14 to the Buccaneers. It's a nice stadium but it has two MAJOR drawbacks, ie, lack of parking and wasted seating capacity with both ends of the stadium open and a "Pirate Ship" in one end. What was upsetting to me was the almost MILE walk to the stadium. They NEVER considered their fans when they built this place. They should have at least built parking lots for the Fans or have a Park & Ride system!!! This Stadium was the Site of SuperBowl XXXV January 28, 2001
