Well it was a stressfull morning for me, getting up too late, so in a huge rush to get to Amsterdam and to make it there in time to make my exam. After all that rushing to Rosmalen, ignoring all speedlimits, to make it in time for Pat's match. Joes phoned me when I was just about to park my car (very near by, I wouldn't be myself if not:-)), she told me they had saved me a seat at the front row (thanks so much girls!). From that moment on it was a lot of sweat and not just because Pat was so near by...It must have been a 100 degrees out there (celsius that is:-) and Cindy and I were in desperate need of some water! It wasn't a difficult match for Pat altogether. I did have the feeling he didn't give it his all, but that could just as well be my illusion. Anyway he won and he will hopefully continue to do so.

After the match Cindy and me ran of to the restaurant to get a bite to eat and some WATER!!! Later on Iris, Joes and Andrea joined us and it was a fun reunion of Nice '99;-) I wanted to catch a glimp of our Pat so I went to ask some boy at the playerslounge. He re-asured me Pat was still there, probably for the rest of the day. So i went back to sit with the girls. Not comfortably of course, i wanted to see our Pat and hand him over Robyn's package for him.

When Joes, Andrea and Cindy went for a walk to the toilets I waited at the playerslounge. The girls took their time so I decided to give them a call, scared I had missed them coming back. When I was about to ring them, Pat came walking out of the playerslounge, on his way to a pressconference. He greeted me, in his own special way : "Hi, did you bring me chocolate?". I said "Hi, Pat, how are you, and no I didn't" (he seemed disappointed, but did call me a good girl:-)) He smiled and said he'd be back in a minute and asked if I wanted to wait. And so I did, of course, when Pat asks you something (close to reasonable) you junp!:-)) I waited in the shade and watched Pat walk to the conferenceroom on bare feet!:-)) I tried calling the girls again, with a little bit more to say, besides asking where the hell they were, but no answer, again!

Pat came back and he walked up to me (in the shade) we had a bit of a chat, about how we both were doing, his shoulder, his form (he said he was doing okay, seemed content, he just said he had to start win a few matches), about Davis Cup and he asked me if I was going to be in Spain for the DC-final (if this happens I am sure I will not be the only one there!!!!!!!!) and about our friend Robyn. Then finally The girls came back, looking a bit surpised at the little scene there...a few pictures were taken (also by the hostesses who were all going: it's Pat Rafter!:-) and he went off again...burning his (may I say beautifull) bare feet on the street. *Sigh*......

It was a wonderful day, I couldn't have hoped for a better one. I loved seeing Joes, Cindy, Andrea and iris. We also ran into to EL, what a surprise was that. It was a true Rosmalen Babbler meeting...and I think that I can say the people who weren't there, were missed. And Robyn, with that you have the reason for us calling you...whenever Pat is around we think of you...(after catching our breath:-).
