Once again the season swings round into action, and once more the RFU make a complete bungle of the league system - the promotion and relegation beneath league level 5 isn't sorted out still, as if the problems at the top weren't great enough. Still, it is nice to be back on the touchline cheering on your team again, especially after the sheer repetitiveness of the Tri-Nations. Hopefully the home nations will show Australia rugby can be played successfully in the old style. Once more comes my begging pitch - please send me in your new links, they will be added as the site is updated on a regular basis. If you are lucky, you may get a front page mention - some sites stand out even above the usual high-quality club information sites. New to the web is www.rivals.net which has a host of unofficial club sites, as well as being the new home of Master William Webb Ellis. For results, visit these sites: Eastern Counties for Eastern Counties and London results, Ripley Rhinos for Midlands sites, and Rochdale for North West results.Other sites I would strongly suggest visiting are the Rugby Reader's Review , and the Tynedale web page - the club, incidentally, must be congratulated on being unbeaten in their North One campaign last season. Finally, the Rugger site has been update to include four new columnists, all of whom offer useful and amusing insights into the running of the game. As always, thanks to all those who e-mail new links or comments to me, they are much appreciated. The e-mail address remains the same, please contact me at sportsweb@hotmail.com | ||||||||||||||||
