The Buffalo Hornets Minor Hockey Association and the Amateur Sports Productions are pleased to invite you and your team to join one or more of our hockey tournaments in the 2000-2001 hockey season.

As you can see, on the next page, we offer a wide selection of youth hockey tournaments for players of all age and skill levels. We are sure we have a tournament JUST FOR YOU.

All teams will play a minimum of 3 games with a possibility of 4 or 5 games. A point system will be used as follows:

WIN   --  2 Points
TIE     --  1 Point
LOSS  --  0 Points
+        --  1 Point for every period won
+        --  1/2 Point for every period tied

Teams will be grouped into categories consisting of either 4, 6, 8, or 10 teams. All games will be played to completion without curfew.

All games will be played at Holiday Twin Rinks and the Leisure Rinks in suburban Buffalo.

U.S.A. Hockey rules will prevail for the tournament.

DIVISION FORMATS

FOUR TEAMS:
One division of 4 teams. Round robin within the division. 3 game guarantee. At the end of the round robin, the top 2 teams will play in the championship game.

SIX TEAMS:
Two subdivisions of 3 teams each. Round robin within the division. 3 game guarantee includes 2 games within the subdivision and 1 cross-over game with a team from the other subdivision. The winners of the 2 subdivisions  will advance to the championship game.

EIGHT GAMES:
Two subdivisions of 4 teams. Round robin within the subdivision. 3 game guarantee. At the end of the round robin, the top 2 teams from each subdivision will play a cross-over semi-final. The semi-final winners will advance to the championship game.

TEN TEAMS:
One subdivision of 4 teams and 2 subdivisions of 3 teams. The subdivision winners and the wild card team with the best overall 2nd place record will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-final winners will advance to the championship game.
