Began listening to them in 1972 in Viet Nam...haven't stopped. Simply the best. I grew up with the Beatles, Stones, the Who, Deep Purple...all the great bands of the late 60's and 70's. After the retrospect, Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull although not getting the recognition they ever deserved, outlasts them all physically, intellectually and musically.
The early years...
The power behind the machine know as Jethro Tull...
Ian Anderson
...the greatest flutist and rock-folk orchestrator
in the history of mankind
The Aqualung album and one of the songs for which they are renowned, archiving them into history...but there are so many more, so much better...28 albums over 30 years
...and still going strong
Ian and Martin Barre...ass kicking still after 30 years
Ian again, a.k.a. the Madman flutist
Taking it into the year 2000...as the others die off...
Something I know I'll never be...
