Updates as of 6/2: Game and Limit are separate fields: e.g. enter 20-40 hold'em as 40 for the limit and 'h' for the game. This facilitates combining results across different limits. Range of limits are analyzed: enter limit1 and limit2 for the lower and upper bounds of limits to be combined. If you want to look at only one limit make them both the same. Combining games: next to game you can type "all" to combine all types of games. Original Instructions for Analyzer System Requirements: - MS Excel 97 or higher - Windows 95 or higher This sheet was designed to allow for easy data entry, and to be to calculate mean and standard deviation by game/limit for a player's total history of playing the game, as well as for "recent" experience. Data Entry: For each session enter into the next row available the date, game/limit ** changed 6/2/00 (e.g. 10-20 hold'em as 10-20H), length of session in hours, and the net gain or loss in dollars. Results automatically update. There are two optional fields labeled "desc1" and "desc2". At this time, these fields do not affect any calculations. You may use these for any notes you want to keep for each session. You can change the labels. Viewing Results: This spreadsheet allows you to view results for one limit/game at a time. A cell in the first row is where you type in which game limit you want to see. At the top of the spreadsheet you will see statistics for the limit/game selected. You get results for all of the sessions in the spreadsheet as well as recent results. You can define what you mean by recent results. In the cell below where game is selected, type in a whole number. The "recent results" sections will show hourly rate, standard deviation, hours played, and earliest session date for that number of sessions in the game selected. Results of all limits/games: *** changed 6/2/00 is not shown. I had an earlier version of this spreadsheet that would do that in addition to results by limit/game. I found that combined statistics were completely useless and made data entry or display of results more cumbersome. Limitations: The spreadsheet allows 991 entries - up to row #1000.
