Steel City Page

"Who is Joe Namath? This is a guy who, if he played in the league today, I'd probably just go hit him late and see what he did, just for the hell of it. Joe Namath can go to hell; he can kiss Greg's ass." - Greg Lloyd, 1991 after Namath criticized his style of play.

I would like to apologize to those who look at this section of my page for not updating it more regularly. Those of you who know me well know there are other sections of this page that I have more direct contact with and time to work on. But we'll be getting back with things soon. Football season is almost upon us. The Steelers appear ready to roll again after actually signing a few of their key free agents. Cowher power will again be in full effect and pretty soon the Steelers will trade the friendly confines Three Rivers for their new digs not too far down the road. We'll try to keep on top of things here as the Steelers head down the road toward hopefully title #5!

He may be gone but the Cup will soon return to Pittsburgh

Well hockey season is just around the corner. Don't quite know what to expect from the Pens this season. Jagr is signed for what many had hoped would be many years but who knows where his situation lies with the current team ownership fight. Hopefully things will work out there though. The Pens did however lose a key player in Ron Francis. A big piece of the Pens 2 Stanley Cup teams, Francis has moved on to a bigger contract in Carolina. The former captain of the Pens will for sure be missed. His play on the ice and his veteran leadership skills will be sorely missed. We'll try to get our stuff together and keep things up to date on the Pens as well.

And this is on its way back too.And as former Steeler Greg Lloyd said "...along with the fu*kin' Super Bowl"

You can't stop The Bus you can only hope to contain it.
Former teammate and Steeler's rookie Mike Vrabel with a game saving play against New England in the playoffs this past season.
