Our special award this week goes to OSU reserve long snapper Kevin Loadman. During the game this week, the Northwestern PA announcer became confused on some of the OSU player numbers and credited Loadman for several tackles. Meanwhile, Loadman was back in Columbus in his north campus apartment watching the Buckeyes on television since he did not travel with the team this week. Anybody who can get credit for tackles while he is 300 miles away from the game deserves some kind of award, so Kevin Loadman gets the first ever (and probably last) Player of the Game while in Absentia Award.
