Trawler Cruising

BIG ADVENTURE: Following retirement from the Navy, we lived aboard and cruised the 38ft Marine Trader Trawler "Sea Gill". We made three trips on the Inter-Coastal Waterway, between the Chesepeake Bay and Florida Keys. Cruised up the Tenn-TOM Waterway which runs from Mobile Bay to the Tennessee River. Took the Tennessee River to the Ohio River to the Mississsippi River to the Illinois River and into Chicago.

We then ventured onto the Great Lakes. Spent 10 weeks cruising Lake Michigan, spending most of out time in Muskegon, which is our hometown. Visited Beaver and Mackinac Islands.

We then entered Canada and cruised through the Georgian Bay and North Channel (FABULOUS CRUISING). Crossed Ontario Canada on the Trent Severn Waterway. We crossed Lake Ontario and entered New York at Oswego. Cruised the Erie Canal, Hudson River, and the Chesapeake Bay. A favorite cruising area was around Tampa, FL. Enjoyed anchoring off the DeSoto National Park area.

Lake Michigan, Muskegon Lake, White Lake, Straits of Mackinaw, Lake Huron, Lake Ontario, Trent Severn Waterway, Lake Simcoe, North Channel, Georgian Bay, Oswego Canal, Erie Canal, Lake Cayuga, Oneida Lake, Hudson River, Upper & Lower New York Bay, East River, Atlantic Ocean, Barnegat Bay, Delaware Bay, Chesapeake Bay, Choptank River, Wye River, Chester River, Little Choptank River, Patapsco River, Baltimore Inner Harbor, Susquehanna River, Severn River, South River, West River, Patuxent River, Elizabeth River, Intracoastal Waterway, Dismal Swamp Canal, Albermarle Sound, Alligator Pungo Canal, Pamlico Sound, Neuse River, Cape Fear River, Cooper River, Savannah River, St. Marys River, St. John's River, St. Lucie Canal, Lake Okeechobee, Caloosahatchee River, Charlotte Harbor, Boot Key Harbor, Tampa Bay, Gulf of Mexico, Apalachicola Bay, Pensacola Bay, Mobile Bay, Mobile River, Tombigbee River, Tenn-Tom Waterway, Pickwick Lake, Tennessee River, Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley, Ohio River, Mississippi River, Kaskaskia River, Illinois River, Chicago River, Chicago Harbor. There may be others that I missed.*G* Will add them when they come to mind.
