The ERA of new head coaches in BOSTON started in the '2000 - 2005/06' seasons.
Lets welcome head coach Glenn 'DOC' Rivers to the CELTIC family for the 2004-05 season & welcome back Danny Ainge as GM in 2003 & Robert "the CHIEF" Parish as a consultant in 2005 & Hall of Famer in 2003. Also lets welcome sugar Ray Allen & the "big-ticket" Kevin Garnett for the '07-'08 season. A big congrats to LARRY the BIRDMAN's Hall of Fame career & now a VP .....
How about the PATRIOTS head coach Bill Belichick since the 2000 season, led my PATS to SUPERBOWL XXXVI Championship in the 2001 season, as well as back-to-back Championships in SUPERBOWL XXXVIII in 2003 & SUPERBOWL XXXIX in 2004 seasons.
Now on to the other football, new REVOLUTION coach Steve Nicle for the 2004 season .... the Red Sox head skipper Terry Francona on for the 2004 season, who led the SOX to OUR 1st WORLD SERIES Championship in 86yrs in 2004 & another in 2007. Also now Lets Welcome the newest members of RED SOX NATION Josh beckett in 2006 & DICE-K MATZ for the 2007 season.
Please lets MORN the BRUINS playoff streak of 29yrs from 1967 to 1996. And let us honor RAY BOURQUE ('79 - '00) for 21 years of service for the Bs & a Stanley Cup Champ now too! The Bs have a new coach Claude Julien for the 2007-'08 season & players, rookie ('06-'07) Phil Kessle, Zadeno Chara & Marc Savard.
So how about the ole college try .... we have the BIG 3 in sports Boston College, Boston U. and UMass.... conGRATS 2 the UMass Football team for the 1998 NCAA DIV 1-AA Championship, and a BIG HURRAH for BC for its 1st NCAA Hockey Championship in 52yrs in this the new millenium Tourney of 2001.
