G -> Em -> C -> D (bass enters) G -> Em -> C -> D C -> D -> C -> D -> C -> D -> Em (let single chord ring) I put my headphones on and sang the blues. The winter ended and the weeds all grew. Where does the fun begin? Here at my nightmare's end? Summertime is such a climb. Verse 2: same chords I took my headphones off and heard the news. Summer imploded and new flowers bloomed. Where does the fun begin? Here at my nightmare's end? Summertime is such a climb. Bridge: C -> D -> Em (repeat a few times) Woa-oh you say you know me and you speak so convincingly. Yea-e-yah you wanna hear more but you don't know what you're in for. This leads into some lead riff then into a nice backwards guitar solo, neither of which I can tab right now. so.... Verse 3: same chords I traded headphones for a pair of shoes, and I walk through tragedy and made the news. Where does the fun begin? Here at my nightmare's end? Summertime is such a climb. Then begins the outro which is mainly the end chord progression of each verse: the CDCDCDE part repeated numerous times with lovely drum rolls and false ends. Also has the "Where does the fun begin?" etc lines sang with it and finally ends with the intro riff played slightly slower. The bass line is what really makes this song nice. I havent' figured it out completely, but I've got a start that you might get some ideas from. basic verse line G Em C D G E C D G------------------|-------0-------2--|------------------|-------0-------2-- D-------0----------|-----2----0--4----|-------0----------|-----2----0--4---- A-----2---------2--|--3---------------|-----2---------2--|--3--------------- E--3-------0--3----|------------------|--3-------0--3----|------------------ C D E G------------------------------------------|----------- D--.------------------------------------.--|----------- A--.--3-3-2-2-0-0------5-5-4-4-2-2-0-0--.--|----------- E-----------------3-3----------------------|--0-------- Most of what's tabbed here is pretty close with some variations at certain points in the song. Anyways, just a starting point I guess. Anybody comes up with anything, I'd be interested in seeing it. can_of_tin@hotmail.com
