Hi everyone...My name is John Hoke and my page is dedicated to the Philly Sports
scene, and general interest in the Philadelphia area (if there is any).
First, let me update family and friends... My fiancee, Milly and I, are due
to wed on May 17,1997. Plans are rolling along smoothly and we have chosen
St. Maarten as our honeymoon destination. Look for your invitation sometime in
March.
OK, now the sports...Our beloved Flyers are on a good roll as of the creation of
this page. They have been playing well since the return of Mr. Lindros. They
also greatly appreciate the generosity of the Hartford Whalers in the donation
of a certain Mr. Coffey.
The sinking Eagles have barely made the playoffs, and face an uphill climb,
starting with the 49ers. Don't look for Ricky Chest-thumper to be back
next year.
The new and improved Sixers are new but the improving is slow going.
It seems they are in every game, but due to a probable lack of experience
and leadership they wind up on the losing end time and time again.
The Phillies, well lets say that Mr. Giles, the owner, is tearing the hearts
out of the baseball loyalists in this area. He needs to sell and get out!!
