Eligibility

In order to play hockey on the OSU Women's Club team, you must be a student (undergrad or graduate), faculty, or staff at Ohio State.

You must have a PHOTOCOPY of your student ID turned in at the first practice in order to step on the ice. These copies must be turned into the league along with the rosters.

No hockey experience is required - even if you have never skated at all, you are welcome the team.
 
Practices

Our first practice will be Monday, Oct. 5 from 9:45-11:45 PM. In order to spend those two hours on the ice, we ask that you be at the rink by 8:00 PM. Wear loose clothing (sweats are good).

Please bring to this first practice:
-A PHOTOCOPY of your OSU ID
* $5 for this first practice and/or your quarterly dues (see below)
* $2 for skate rental (if necessary)
* A stick (these can be purchased for around $15)
* Hockey tape (can be purchased at the rink for $3)
* Water Bottle
 

Equipment


Every player, regardless of skill level, is required to wear a helmet, gloves, and shinpads.

Each member is encouraged to have her own equipment; however, if you are just beginning, you have the option of signing out intramural equipment at practice. It is important to come early if you are using intramural equipment to find a helmet, gloves, and shin pads that fit properly.

Dues

Every member must pay a $25 registration fee with USA Hockey. This fee must be paid by Monday, Oct. 12.

Club dues will be $75 per quarter. $5 is required the first night of practice. If you decide to stay with the team, that $5 is deducted from your quarterly club dues,

Attendance Policy

In order to compete in games, you must have attended 75% of the practices prior to that game. If you will be late or are not able to attend a practice, please contact one of the officers ahead of time.

BE ON TIME! Coming to 2 practices late will count as one absence.
