This is an ongoing review of a banjo neck I purchased on ebay from user id inlaidartist aka Tony Tsai. There just is not enough space on an ebay feedback forum to say what needs to be said, so here you have the facts.
The neck I received was broken in two pieces (see picture below) from poor packing. The box was cut out of a larger piece of cardboard and fashioned to just fit this neck. The neck fretboard had one piece on 1/4 inch styrofoam to protect the inlay and then a single sheet of the small bubble wrap around the entire piece. Now, the amount of work that went into this banjo neck deserved a better packing job, as anyone would agree. I have requested a refund from Tony but have recieved no reply. So I quess I'm stuck with this wallhanger.
I have decided to try and epoxy this sucker back together and go on with the project I had in mind to begin with, so if you are interested, stop back by and I will give you the details of how it worked out, I'm still concerned about fret spacing, compared to another banjo, it appears the frets from 15 on up were not measured correctly, and if Tony decides to refund any money, I'll let you know here too. <
