This is the Sherwood Park Figure Skating Club's Homepage! SPFSC will be 30 years old this season and so to recognize a special effort will be made on this year's page. The Sherwood Park Figure Skating Club was established 30years ago. It is located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada, and has a 57 member base ranging in levels from beginner/pre-preliminary to junior skaters. The average age of our members is 11 years old. The skaters practice at the Glen Alan Recreation Centre (commonly called GARC) up to six days a week. They also have the opportunity to take part in ballet and fitness classes. Skaters at SPFSC may choose from two different training routes. The first is to train as a test skater. This is available from the prepreliminary level to the gold test level. The other option is to train as a competitive skater. This option is available to skaters at the pre-novice level and continues to the senior competitive level. Although our skaters have not yet achieved the senior level of competitive skating, we are proud to have sent skaters to divisional competitions in the past.
