Highlights

Welcome to the Official Home Page of the Cameron Lady Aggies. We'll be following this exciting team through their season as they press for a Lone Star Conference Title and a bid to the National Tournament.
The Cameron Lady Aggies are an NCAA Division II women's basketball team competing in the Lone Star Athletic Conference. After a season plagued by injuries and disappointment, the Lady Aggies are gearing up for a season that will provide the payoff they've been waiting over a year to experience. The freshmen that fought through the 1998-99 season have built a solid foundation for a program that is destined for nothing less than a championship. Like last year, the recruiting class this year will be very strong. However, Lady Aggie fans will also see a great set of returning players to include Conference Freshman Player of the Year Summer Bode and the only player to start every contest last season, Kelsi Bond.
After several tough games against many fierce opponents, the Lady Aggies will finally begin to reap the benefits of their hard work. The players (no longer freshman) have gained incredible experience, and continue to display a tenacity that will make them very difficult to play against.
Returning to the roster for their 1999-2000 season are Lani Baldwin, Laci Bender, Summer Bode, Kelsi Bond, Keisha Craddock, De Sharki, and Hope Waterdown. The Lady Aggies will be gaining a lot of help especially in the post area from their incoming recruits.
Joining the team this year are Connors State Junior College transfers Sonia Cornwell from Preston and Roseline Ogilo from Nairobi Kenya. Sonia, a high school All-American and State Champion, and Roseline, a 6'4 terror in the paint, both had stellar 1997-89 seasons. Also contributing this season to the Lady Aggies will be Mustang's Heather Ivy, an All-State post player who also received Academic and Native American All-State recognition, and Kelly Moore, a disciplined All-State post player from Canton, OK. Stephanie Shufeldt who led the state with her 43% three-point shooting and Tisha King, a strong defensive player and great athlete from Eakley High will add depth in the guard position. In the spring, the Lady Aggies will be receiving help down low from a Top 5 post player out of Iceland.
We look forward to an exciting year and invite you take part of it. Hoop Club Memberships are available and will go on sale soon. This is an excellent way to support us because proceeds from these sales help enrich the women's basketball program.
