CHILDCARE

PRE-SCHOOL

SCHOOL AGE CHILDCARE

    

 

     The Y operates a Pre-School for children ages 3 and 4.  A two day program meeting on Tuesday and Thursday is for three year olds and a three day program meeting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from four year olds. 

 

     This licensed program offers a great environment for preschoolers to work together and prepare for Kindergarten.  Our teachers cover a broad variety of subjects and understand this age group.  Swimming instruction in the fall and spring are part of the program.

PRE-SCHOOL

    

 

     Children enrolled in Public / Private / Parochial Kindergarten will be cared for according to their full and half-day schedule. 

 

     Special emphasis is placed on supporting and reinforcing academic skills for this grade level while having fun!  Program components will include story time, crafts, math/science/phonics/writing skills, gym outdoor, recreational swims, and special events. 

 

     Transportation is provided from Kindergarten to the Y.

     Children enrolled in grades K to 7 are transported from Danvers Schools for an afternoon filled with a variety of activities.  Program components include: homework assistance, arts and crafts, sports, games, outdoor play, recreational swimming, cooking, special interest clubs, field trips and much more. 

 

     A fun packed staff of adults, college students and high school students make sure every child receives attention. 

 

     Children can take optional swimming lessons and other activities at the Y.  What better place than the Y.   For more information speak to the  School Age Coordinator, Joe Pauline.

Schools Out Kids Club & Middle School Club

All three childcare programs are licensed by the State of Massachusetts.  Staff are trained in first aide, CPR and other related trainings.  All Danvers YMCA Employees undergo background checks.
