Uwe adds more then his outstanding size to the Red Wings Team. hi brings with him experience and versatility. And, he's got a good low shot from points. Huge. Intimidating. Deceptive. Effective. He carries the puck well out of his own zone. He will fill a void that was left by the departure of Bob Rouse and Dimitri Mironov. He will be teamed up with six-foot-three Anders Eriksson to create a defensive dynamic duo that could be down right scary on the ice. This is not his first Stanley Cup Team. He scored the cup-winning goal for the Colorado Avalanche in 1996. Last season, he led the Avalanche in plus/minus with a plus-21, which tied him for 14th in the NHL with his new ice made Anders. He was named an NHL ALL-Star in 1991, the season in which he scored a career-high of 12 goals and 32 assists for 44 points. During his 12 seasons in the NHL, Krupp has played 695 regular season games, scored 66 goals and 209 assists for 275 points. He was originally drafted by Buffalo in the 1983 Entry Draft. He was their 13th choice and 214th overall. He was traded to the New York Islanders in 1991. After 2 and ½ seasons with New York, he was traded to Quebec for one season, which became the Colorado Avalanche the following season. Uwe spent the Summer rehabilitating and running hockey clinics in Aspen, Colorado Springs, Greely and steam boat. He vacationed with his family in Hawaii and Fairbanks Alaska. He owns and races sled dogs. He has two sons, Bjorn and Cedric. |
