She is married to her coach, Herry
Suharyadi on January 31, 1994, and her husband is still her current coach.
In 1987 she had women's world ranking of 488, by 1997, Yayuk was ranked
21 in women's professional ranking. She plays right handed, she became
professional tennis player in October 1990 and her highest career ranking
was 19.
I admire Yayuk as one of my top players because
firstly, she is Indonesian...just like me. I think she brought a
good name for Asian tennis in women's division. She is a very peasant
person to be around and is known to have "a down to earth" personality.
She is a great volleyer, great speed and athleticism. She has a powerful
serve, surprisingly for a small woman.
I also admire her because she reminds me
of myself....physically. I am also a small player like her, and watching
her play gives me motivation to try and improve my game. I guess
i don't have to be big and tall to have a powerful serve or to be fast
on the court.
I have never personally met her before, but
i have been communicating with her through he internet, and i also know
other tennis players who has knows and met Yayuk.
