GARY BARNETT
PLAYER/COACH, MIDFIELD
The club's highly popular player/coach who led the team to an unprecedented domestic treble in 1996-97, and to a league and league cup double last season. 'Barney' joined the Dragons from Leyton Orient in September 1995 and soon impressed home fans with his skill and industry. Born in Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, his former English League clubs include Coventry, Oxford, Fulham and Huddersfield. Gary took over the managerial hot-seat in Summer 1996.

RICHARD JONES
ASSISTANT PLAYER COACH, MIDFIELD
Started his career for the now defunct Newport County. Moved to Hereford, where he spent five years before then moving to Swansea City, where he spent one season. 'Dickie' then signed for Barry in time for the start of the 1994/95 season. He played for Barry in their first European adventure in the Cup Winners' Cup against Zalgiris Vilnius of Lithuania. The longest serving player at the club, Dickie has also played more than 300 English League matches. A true professional in every sense of the word, Dickie is admired by both his fellow players and fans laike. He has formed a good partnership with player/coach Gary Barnett, and together they make a formidable team, both on and off the pitch. The only player to have played for a Welsh side in three different European competitions.

GARY LLOYD
DEFENDER
A very skillful left footed player, Gary operates as either a left back or central defender. One of the club's longest serving players, he has been a regular feature in the team since leaving his home club of Llanelli. After being watched by Welsh manager, Bobby Gould, Gary was included in the Welsh senior squad. Gary was on the bench for the Belgium v Wales match back in October, 1997.

TERRY EVANS
DEFENDER
Signed from near neighbours Cardiff City, the former Welsh under-21 international soon settled into the Barry set-up with some strong displays at right wing back. Terry missed a high proportion of 1996-97 through injury, but returned for the vital run-in which brought the club three trophies. Born in Pontypridd.

ANDREW YORK
DEFENDER
A wholehearted and efficient centre half, 'Yorkie' is a pillar of strength. He joined Barry from old rivals, Merthyr, and soon became a favourite of the fans. Made captain halfway through the season, Yorkie was the only outfield player not to find the net in 1996-97, something which he put right the following year.

LEE BARROW
DEFENDER
Signed in September, '97 from Torquay, 'Bas' started his footballing career at Notts County, then moved to Scarborough before joining Torquay. Lee has played over 200 English League matches and is currently 25. Already a firm favourite with both his fellow professionals and the supporters.

DANNY CARTER
MIDFIELD
Danny is 29 years old and has played 300 games of English League football before he joined the club in September, 1997 from Peterborough United. A true professional, and an industrious and skilled player, Danny made an immediate impact on the team, and is well respected by his team-mates. A maestro on the ball, and voted Barry Town Player of the Year by the Supporters' Club.

EIFION WILLIAMS
FORWARD
Barry Town's record signing fee for a player. Eifion joined Barry on the eve of 1997-98 season, having signed from fellow League of Wales side, Caernarfon Town. Europe's second top goalscorer last season with 40 goals in the league, Eifion netted a further 17 in cup competitions. At the beginning of this season, 'Avo' became the first Barry player to score in the European Champions League, when he netted against Dynamo Kyiv of the Ukraine. Former Welsh u-21 international.

PAUL MITCHELL
DEFENDER/MIDFIELD
An experienced player signed from Torquay United, where he was team-mates with 'Bas'. Paul had previously played for AFC Bournemouth and West Ham before moving to Barry in March 1998.

GARETH SHONE
DEFENDER
Former Wrexham player, signed during the Summer of 1998 to complement Barry's chances in the European Cup. Nineteen years old.

MARK DEMPSEY
DEFENDER
25 year old Dublin-born defender with English league experience at Gillingham, Leyton Orient and Shrewsbury Town. A former Republic of Ireland under-21 international, Mark has played over 150 English League matches, including being an ever-present in Shrewsbury's 1996-97 campaign.

DAVID WELLS
GOALKEEPER
Goalkeeper on loan from AFC Bournemouth. Northern Ireland under-21 international, who made a successful debut in Barry's victory over Connah's Quay Nomads. Has recently signed a contract keeping him at the club.

JODIE JENKINS
STRIKER
Eighteen year old striker and wideman who moved to the club in Summer '98, after spending time with AFC Bournemouth. Impressed the club in pre-season friendlies.

DARREN DAVIES
MIDFIELD
Hard tackling midfielder who made his debut for Barry in the F.A.W Premier Cup, scoring a magnificent volley which eventually proved to be the winner against Wrexham. Formerly with Spurs.

CHRIS PRIDHAM
MIDFIELDER
Formerly with Manchester City where he spent two years on the Youth Training Scheme. An ex-schoolboy international, Chris lives in Port Talbot.

JUSTIN PERRY
STRIKER
Hard-man striker formerly with Sunderland and Ebbw Vale. Scored for the Valleys side in the Inter-Toto Cup during Summer '98. Made his Barry debut against Cwmbran Town in the League of Wales.

ANDY DIBBLE
GOALKEEPER
33 year old former Manchester City and Glasgow Rangers on loan from Altrincham Town to cover David Wells. Dibble recently sustained severe injuries in a match at Carmarthen Town.
